Orchard Park’s clubhouse expansion was designed to take advantage of the idyllic views of its prestigious golf course. The new bar and dining area were designed to sit at the rear of the club with a large expanse of north-facing windows on the club’s exposed second level. This setting required two things. First, the windows would need to be able to provide larger units and combinations that offered superior performance against the harsh upstate weather. Second, the windows would need to be able to be delivered in a very short time frame so that the project could be completed during the winter months.
Integrity was able to meet both of these challenges. Thomas Johnson Construction selected Integrity Wood-Ultrex windows because of their ENERGY STAR performance, durable Ultrex construction, and strong NFRC and WDMA design pressure ratings. A combination of Wood-Ultrex picture and transom units were used to maximize the views of the course, while maintaining the charm of the clubs over arching architecture. A few large Wood-Ultrex casements were also used at the end of the new space to complement the larger window assembly and provide cross ventilation to the space. The real wood interiors of the Wood-Ultrex units also provided Thomas Johnson the ability to stain the windows to match the room’s cherry moldings.
Integrity’s short lead times and consistent 99% fast, on-time, defect-free and complete delivery was able to easily meet Orchard Park’s tight time line and avoid any project delays. Thomas Johnson Construction was able to close up the envelope of the club’s addition on schedule, so the project stayed on-time, on-budget and was completed and ready for members as the spring season arrived. The result is a stunning space that makes Orchard Park Country Club’s clubhouse a stand out.
